MAJ Norland James (ret.) specializes in program management and logistics. Norland retired from the Army in 2019 after a successful 20 year career. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, & Humanitarian Service Medal. In addition, Norland holds a Master of Business Administration degree. He is also a Certified Supply Chain Specialist and Demonstrated Master Logistician.
MAJ James' (ret.) career began in December 1999 at the 31st Combat Support Hospital as a logistics officer and platoon leader. In 2002, he served as Chief of Transportation at the U.S. Army Medical Material Center in Europe, supporting Operations Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Iraqi Freedom (OIF). By 2005, he was with the 82nd Airborne Division as a logistics planner and later commanded the 550th Area Support Medical Command (ASMC), deploying to Afghanistan as the sole ASMC in theater.
In 2009, MAJ James joined Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), holding key logistics roles during the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) transition of three major hospitals. In 2012, he was assigned to Army Central Command (ARCENT) in Kuwait as Senior Medical Logistics Officer, aiding in the medical retrograde strategy for Afghanistan. From 2013 to 2016, he served in the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA), overseeing modernization projects and leading the Distribution Operations Center. He was later assigned as the Chief of Logistics, which is a diplomatic position at the U.S. Army Medical Research Unit-Georgia in Tbilisi.
As an organization development strategist, Dr. Amina has a passion for helping individuals and organizations transform. She has extensive experience working in public sector, higher education, and non-profit organizations and was previously an adjunct professor in Organizational Leadership & Learning at the George Washington University. Dr. Amina earned a doctorate in Human & Organizational Learning from the George Washington University. In addition, Dr. Amina holds a Certificate of Mastery in Diversity & Inclusion from Georgetown University and the Office of Personnel Management. She is also a Gallup-certified CliftonStrengths Coach, and bronze-level certified in Kirkpatrick Training Evaluation.
